Iván Espinoza has been appointed as the new CEO of Nissan following Makoto Uchida's unexpected departure. His role encompasses product strategy and enhancing electric vehicle technology while emphasizing consumer engagement.

Iván Espinoza, a recognized Mexican, is now leading the Japanese automaker Nissan, replacing Makota Uchida. Under his leadership, he supervises the timely arrival of products for the respective markets. Espinoza was responsible for Nissan's Motor Sports department, covering everything from Formula E and Super GT in Asia to GT4 in the United States.

In an interview at the Formula E Mexico City Grand Prix, Iván Espinoza mentioned: "The Generation 3EVO vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 in 1.8 seconds; while a Formula 1 car does it between 2.1 and 2.5 seconds per hour." He emphasized that the product strategy is developed in Japan with a global perspective, and his responsibilities include the product strategy for Nissan and Infiniti.

Additionally, the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand celebrated the 75th anniversary of the VW Bus, the most produced commercial vehicle in Europe, and plans to launch the first fully electric VW Bus, the ID, in 2022. Volkswagen has sold over 1.2 million electric vehicles and applied that experience in Formula E.

Espinoza proudly noted that the new Formula E vehicles, the third generation 3EVO, outperform Formula 1 vehicles. He is interested in developing a transportation system inspired by Formula E to apply it to street vehicles in the future. He highlighted the importance of connecting consumers to the fun and advantages of electric vehicles. Electric mobility requires a new approach, and the VW Bus shows a paradigm shift towards proper electrification.

SAAG Automotive, the Chinese brand, presented a new line of accessories to enhance the driving experience of its Bestune and JIM models. From the T1 to the T6.1, they highlighted the increase in power and all-wheel drive in their vehicles. Since 1950, Volkswagen has produced over 12.5 million VW Buses in Hannover, establishing itself as the most successful commercial vehicle in Europe.

On the other hand, the Honda Accord and Honda Accord Hybrid 2025 were awarded the "Best Cars for Families" by U.S. News & World Report in the 2025 new vehicles category. This underscores their excellence as quality family cars.
